I am a firm believer that we are all capable of being the change we need in our lives. Once you decide to take responsibility and hold yourself accountable the rest of the steps to your fitness journey become clear. I am happy to be of service to you and share my knowledge to help guide you along to reach your goals. For me It all started with a kinesiology credit for my degree in psychology. I choose a weight training class simply out of necessity. However it became one of the best decisions I made. After completing the course I signed up for a gym membership and continued weight training on my own.
I entered my first bikini competition in 2013 and I was hooked! I competed as a bikini athlete again in 2015. Until I decided to transition into the figure category in 2016. After 4 years of setting my dreams aside I came out of retirement in 2020 and entered a competition as a wellness competitor where I earned my IFBB Pro Card.
Through my entire fitness journey I learned that it wasn’t just about looking healthy on the outside, but fitness seeps through all aspects of life.
I would like to share how to properly weight train to achieve your physical goals in a healthy manner. There’s information all over the internet and so many fitness trends it is easy to get lost. It’s important to find a way that works not just temporarily. Learning how to workout properly creates confidence. Not only does exercise help build confidence but it’s a healthy outlet for stress, anger or any negative emotions.
Lastly I learned the way I look at food has ultimately changed. You can workout as much as you want but nourishment is a crucial key. Dieting is often so restricting there has to be a way that is balanced and sustainable. I used to struggle with feeling guilty after eating something bad. Then beat myself up and over exercise it becomes a vicious cycle. It is not a healthy way to live or outlook on eating. Especially after competing and getting in the best shape of your life it feels like then what? I just don’t want anyone else to feel stuck in their health goals!
